This USB 2.0 micro converter allows RS-232C serial communications with external devices. Each converter has a one-channel RS-232C serial port. Baud rates from 300 to 921,600 bps can be set by software. When data is transferred at the high speed, it may not be transferred normally, and will depend on the external device and cable length.
Using a USB hub allows you to install up to 127 converters in a single PC. COM1 - COM256 can be set using the device manager.
Use of a 9-pin D-SUB connector (female type) allows you to connect the converter to a device like a modem. It can also be connected to the cable of another 9-pin D-SUB connector (female type), if the gender changer is connected.
You can use the standard COM driver software (COM Setup Disk) supplied with the converter to access the serial ports as standard Windows COM ports. To use this micro converter, you must install the appropriate CONTEC driver software.
To adapt to the application, cables and connectors are available as optional.
