The CPI-DIO-0808L is a 16-channel digital I/O expansion card, designed to enhance the functionality of the Raspberry Pi. This product provides eight opto-coupler isolated inputs and eight opto-coupler isolated open collector outputs.  Contec's CPI series allows you to easily stack up to eight HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) size expansion cards, bringing industrial-grade availability and maintainability to your Raspberry Pi devices.

• Push-type terminal block for easy wiring
  • The CPI Series includes a push-type terminal block for convenient, simple connection and disconnection of wired HATs without the need for tools or crimping terminals.
• Stacked connection of up to eight cards

  • Contec has expanded HAT specifications to include address ID reconfigurability, making it possible to connect up to eight stacked cards.  Connection to HATs from other manufacturers is also possible.

• API compatible with PC expansion cards and Python-compatible API
  • Take advantage of API compatibility with Contec's PCIe, USB, and Ethernet-type measurement control devices. Development assets can be reused across multiple platforms. Linux drivers (API-TOOL for Linux) can be downloaded for free from our website along with sample Python and GCC programs, allowing users to begin programming right away.
• Opto-coupler isolated digital inputs and outputs for excellent noise immunity
  • The CPI-DIO-0808L is equipped 8 channels of inputs with optocoupler isolation (supporting current sink and current source outputs) and 8 channels of outputs with optocoupler isolation (current sink). Eight channels share one common terminal, and the two common terminals can support different external power supplies.
•  Adaptable to a wide range of environments
  • The CPI-DIO-0808L can be powered with an input voltage range of 12-24V in operating temperatures between -20 to 60°C, resulting in flexible operation over a wide range of environments.
